Dr. Phil and living life

You can’t get hit on the head and say, “Ow, my memory hurts!”. It’s not there, it resides outside of the body — thank goodness! Our bodies are far too fragile to house the part of us that lives beyond bodily death.

“When we die, it’s the body that dies, it’s our personality/spirit/soul, that carries on”. You’ve all heard me say this a thousand times. I say it because of the thousands of dead people I have spoken to. Just because their body has died it doesn’t mean that the most important part of them is also dead.
So, what do I mean by that? Well, here we go . . .

Whether you want to call it your soul or spirit is up to you but I call it the personality because when I speak to dead people, it feels like it’s their personality that I am chatting with, the same person as they were when alive, minus the physical body. Let’s move on; Our personality relies upon our memory and feelings to know who we are. This makes our memories and feelings so incredibly important. So important, in fact, that they are not housed inside our body. If you are going to ask where our memories and feelings are, then I am going to have to get back to you — that’s a much bigger blog.

Anyway, we have the opportunity to do some amazing things, experience real magic, while we have our physical bodies and yet we manage to lie on the sofa watching Dr. Phil. What a waste of a physical life. We get this amazing chance to live a physical life, do physical things; drive fast, climb a mountain, have sex, throw snowballs, ride a horse, have children. We should be taking full advantage of our bodies while we can.

You wouldn’t buy a sports car and then keep it locked in the garage; you wouldn’t drive it safely at 30kmph in a zone where you know there are police controls! You would open the windows, crank up the music and put the pedal to the metal! You would use that car for what it’s supposed to be used for. You would find out what it can do, push its limits, burn some rubber!

You see where I’m going with this, your body is your sports car, there has never been one like it before, it’s an original work of art, it’s freaking amazing. Use it! Get your car out of the garage and go on a serious road trip! Take that thing and experience all that it has to offer because way too soon, it’s going to be too old and broken to use.

Better to have had all the road trips, then have it sitting in the garage watching Dr. Phil.
